the photo above is not christv lite. the lite version doesn't have a control panel. settings are made from a context menu (right click) on the screen. after testing christv pvr i was quite surprised at the extent to which the lite version has been crippled. i believe the lite version of this program is intended only as a "come on" for you to buy one of the pay versions since it has been so extensively stripped of features.feature wise, the km player and pvr are in the same ball park except for the cost. the downside is the km player doesn't have a tv setup wizard so it *will* take more effort to configure properly, but you *will* save euro.addendum: i forgot to mention keyboard shortcuts are available for the common functions in addition to the context menu, but changing channels using the keyboard is frustrating. active channels are placed consecutively in a list starting with number 1 and that is the number you enter, not the tv channel number. since not all channels are active, the numbers won't agree. to watch channel 95 i have to type in 57. (i believe this is true of all christv versions.)addendum 2: even after declining to install the relevant knowledge spyware, immediately after installation the rkverify.exe process was running in memory. after rebooting and restarting christv, the process was gone and the file could not located on the computer. i did, however, find it inside of the christv installation file in the rk folder. i seriously question why this file was running, if only one time, since rk was declined during installation. this would explain why some people are getting av alerts when installing christv lite.one final complaint: a "nag" line is annoyingly displayed across the top of the screen each time the program is started and remains there until the channel is changed.my rating of christv lite is 0 stars.
opera is slow and buggy.
188.8.131.52 is out!
as long as your albums and song titles are labled correctly the art importer works quite well. the only real problem i have run into so far is that when a song is write-protected the program freaks out and you need to search again. it would be much better if it would just move on after encountering write-protected files. also it would be cool if it was more closely integrated into itunes, i.e., you could right-click a song and have the option to find the album art.
i don't understand why it's not secure at all as the list you're talking about is based on signed files.did you ever install any malware digitally signed ?comodo worked on a software more friendly as lot of people were lost with all the alerts they had to create rules, alerts for the firewall, alerts for defense+, as they didnt know what to do with all those alerts.now, comodo can run with a limited number of rules to create for common users that hate all those complicated softwares with tones of settings and alerts.but what i like the best is that comodo is still configurable to have full control on the traffic with alerts for anything, so you create many rules for each process, or use predefined policies like "browser policy" or "ftp client" , "email client, outgoing only, trusted apps and blocked apps.the defense+ is a powerfull security tool to monitor all files activities and decide what a file will be allowed to do on the system.defense+ is protecting by default important files and folders, you can add your own files and folders rule, there's a default protected reg keys and you can also add your own keys you want to protect, there's a protected com interfaces also configurable like you want.and to help defense+ configuration, there's a sandbox where anything that's not part of trusted software vendors is launched sandboxed with a level of security you chose to run the file sandboxed. there are several levels of security from partially limited to blocked. setting blocked for unknown files is too high as the file cant run so just before blocked you have "untrusted files" that will launch the unknown file with not enough rights to corrupt your system.the files unrecognized will stay into the sandbox as long as you decide about it. if you know the file, so it's not a problem, sometimes comodo doesnt know all softwares, and the unrecognized files sandboxed stored into a specific place are submitted to the cloud so, they're analysed and if they're unknown, after some days, they'll be classified as trusted or not, even if you didnt install the av, you got the cloud that will inform you about the unrecognized file.this software is really great and needs to be tested, you can use the version with the av, but i like comodo for his firewall and defense+i use a shareware as antivirus to complete comodo.
while it is true that copytrans manager (free) is indeed free, and is okay.perhaps the download link here originally was pointed at copytrans which is a trial.the features i was looking for, specifically to export tracks to my computer, are not in copytrans manager (free).i will assume it was my misunderstanding and there was no false advertising on the developers part. not completely sure i was wrong before, but it could have happened.i would recommend this nice app, and very much recommend buying the more robust copytrans.
i keep seeing people talking about various addons for chrome, but i am running 184.108.40.206 and i see no plugin/addon support anywhere. nothing about it on google, either.
error installing on vista ultimate. (rating only given to satisfy posting this, i would otherwise not have given a rating)
win8 compatibility? not only with this version, itunes locks up when attempting to play my files. i record c2c am which is 4 hours. (big file) it plays just fine when using copy trans manager, but is totally screwed with itunes. there are features i like about tunes and a whole lot of things that are a waste.i think the copy trans programs are better for working with my ipod, but you still have to have itunes installed to make it go.
