for xp use third party sdexplorer : cloudstorageexplorer.com
as i already use some pretty decent anti-malware this has never found anything amiss on any of my pc's - if you take the time to read the terms & conditions it's probably of more use to ms to have a bit of a snoop around your pc as anything, i can live with that though & seems harmless enough to me.btw although i don't use mse the detection rates are now pretty good.
l is for the way it works for me,o is for the only one i see ...i love this image viewer, as a bachelor i think marriage, now !works really nicely, light on resources, has the needed functionalities without being bloated. fast, reliable.great !
very interesting application.at present, it is quite buggy. it may work better on a win xp machine than my win 7.in the 10 minutes i tried to use this application, i discovered that "run as administrator" must be checked to install it and must be checked to run it (and, of course to uninstall it). i found that it has an insufficient number of weather stations. the closest to my home was 90 miles away and in an entirely different weather zone ... that is, it was close to sea level while my home is at 6200 feet above sea level. it does, however, allow the user to enter latitude and longitude, but it seems to ignor that. i was not able to successfully get the application to center on my location. it wanted to center, first, on the major city closest to my home, and then, as i zoomed in, on a location about 200 miles northwest of that area. and the application crashed a couple of times. i made no attempt to find out why.this looks like it may be a very good tool in the future, but, at present, it is obviously still in the "alpha" stage, certainly not yet ready to be called a "beta" application. so i have uninstalled it, but will try it again when it is updated.good luck to the application author. you have lots of work ahead to make this application useable.
yet another vista, and even though technically it's superior to windows 7, windows 8's ui is such an abomination, it's absolutely unhandy for most serious users.corporates will shun it like a plague.
poor sound quality, bloated, & intrusive. if you can't work out how to organize your music without this i suppose it's a must have - but not for me. as it's main objective in life is to actually play music & it doesn't do that well for me it's useless. was ok 10 years ago but not now.the lite version is anything but lite & the standard doesn't play music well either.
this review is for puran "free' defrag 7.3:i did a 'boot time' defrag and found that all of my system restore points were erased. i am using vista 32 bit ultimate. everything still seems to be working though.
it doesn't get any worse than this!
i recently purchased a nifty hp pavilion dm1 notebook. it came with windows 7 64 bit and it was doing just fine. then, a few days ago i made a very stupid move and downloaded the windows 8 pre-release evaluation. what i didn't know was that once downloaded win 8 can't be removed. i tried to bring it back to factory settings, but windows 8 wiped that out, as well as all other hp programs that came with the note book. as i write, my bluetooth still doesn't work.i had to find hp drivers for my notebook to try and bring back to standard. some of them work and some don't. since my hp notebook doesn't come with a dvd optical drive i had to order one and also had to order a recovery disk from hp. as soon as these items arrive, i'll be nuking win 8 and get back to using win 7, which when you don't have it, one knows how good it was in comparison.as for win 8, it has some interesting do-dads. the start screen looks like my wife's lumia and quite frankly it sucks. to me it's gimicky and a bit childish. it gets in the way of doing what you want to do do with the computer. i could go on, but i've said enough. in short, i won't be shelling out any shekels for win 8, as it already has cost me a considerable amount of money attempting to get my new notebook back to its original condition. and yes, i was stupid.
