User reviews ati tv wonder pro pci driver
works well. has a lite quick user interface. the freeware idea and the built-in dns resolver worked well. the interface is easy to navigate.a couple bugs that i encountered. i had one unexplained crash of the server while navigating the artist tree. also, it seems like the server doesnt restart and test a user-specified port. also, track numbers are not yet included.ultimately this shows promise, and you could use it now, but i would personally wait until a later release.
it works, but i would prefer an offline installer...
more evil code from the evil corporation...
someone please start linking to the full 30mb+ download instead of the tiny downloader. some other sites link to the full version.
em... i've watched the videos, read the information on the stardock site and i'm still not sure what this is and more to the point, not really sure why it useful or why i'd need it. all i can think is that it seems like ubuntu unity for windows (and that's not good)can anyone enlighten me as to what this actually is or does, the website doesn't make it clear at all, is this virtual desktops like, unity like, rocket dock like?
@gatorfan95,masking as ie or ff does not mean that opera is using a different engine, it only has 1. what it does, with a little code, is simply identify itself as another browser when sites do their sniffing. browser sniffing is generally used by lazy coders who only test in 1 environment and in actuality has nothing to do with the performance of a browser, it's simply a query in the code.and as far as opera having such a tiny market share, just look at the top browser, which is ie, and tell me with a straight face that it's because it is the best. market share is just a reflection of marketing.now, as for this release, it's ok. it has made a lot of improvements from the 11 branch but has also added more issues which in the grand scheme of things means it is a better browser albeit flawed. as a photographer i am happy that they've finally included icc profiles, it's about time damn it. but an issue when cleaning private data that resets extension settings has me reverting back to 12.02 for now
text entry ui is horribly designed. if you make a typo or want to change the entered string, you have to carefully backspace over it, because esc will close the window altogether. that's really inconsiderate. esc should clear the search box (or better, do a "select all", so you can type over the previously entered text). for an application that i would expect to use very often, this is too annoying to bother. and the strain it adds to the system every time it starts and scans the filesystem pretty much kills the joy. i'll take locate32 any time - just create an index once and be done with it, then rebuild the index on schedule or manually. much better that way.
beware! uses a "download manager" that accesses the internet. allowing this behavior is very risky! in fact, using it can violate several federal compliance acts if used in settings subject to sox, hipaa, etc.a legitimate software will give you the option of downloading the entire installation file.sorry, adding to my 'potential malware' list.
i only see two processes running(pd agent and engine) for a total of 30mb's usage. i don't worry about ram use because i have plenty to spare. i custom set my main partition for smart placement with boot/directory/occasional/rarely/recently as the file order, and my 'browser cache' partition for defrag only, with main partition done only when 5% fragmented and other partition when 10% fragmented.as for auslogics, i've tried auslogics screensaver defrag as a lite alternative for background defragging but it then caused my pc to not go into standby mode at the set time, for whatever reason(xp system). that will not do for me. just couldn't figure out how to remedy that problem so i gave up on auslogics.4 stars instead of 5 for not just having one process as opposed to using two for the job, to at least save a little on system resources processing, as well as memory usage i guess.
